Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F / 200°C.
  2. Dry the chicken breasts thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess surface moisture.
  3. Mix the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl until combined into a seasoning mixture.
  4. Coat the chicken breasts evenly with the prepared seasoning mixture.
  5. Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake the chicken for 18 to 20 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C.
  2. Allow the baked chicken to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Use chicken breasts that are similar in size to help them cook more evenly, and use a meat thermometer to confirm the internal temperature.
