Ingredients

Chicken
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Cream Cheese Topping
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (227 g)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Searing
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Garnish
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the oven to 375°F / 190°C.
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper in a bowl until fully combined.
  3. Dry the chicken breasts with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Warm olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat, then sear the chicken breasts on both sides until lightly browned while keeping them from overcooking.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the top of each seared chicken breast.
  3. Bake the chicken uncovered until the cheese topping is bubbling and golden and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C.
  4. Allow the baked cream cheese chicken to rest briefly before serving, then add fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to confirm the chicken reaches a safe internal temperature without overbaking.
