Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
Honey Butter Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Garnish and Serving
  • Chopped parsley for garnish, optional
  • Lemon wedges for serving
Cooking
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

Preparation
  1. Dry the salmon fillets with paper towels, then season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Combine melted butter, honey, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a small bowl, whisking until the sauce is blended.
Cooking
  1. Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the salmon fillets to the skillet with the skin side facing down and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin becomes crisp.
  3. Turn the salmon carefully and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the honey butter sauce to the skillet, then spoon it over the salmon while it cooks and thickens.
  5. Lower the heat slightly after adding the sauce to help prevent the honey from burning.
  6. Continue cooking until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches 145°F / 63°C internally.
Serving
  1. Allow the salmon to rest briefly, then finish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Reduce the heat slightly after adding the honey butter sauce to help prevent the honey from burning.
