Ingredients

Chicken
  • 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
Ranch Sauce
  • 1 packet (1 oz / 28 g) dry ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup condensed cream of chicken soup
Cheese Topping
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
Garnish
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk the dry ranch dressing mix, sour cream, and condensed cream of chicken soup until evenly combined and smooth.
  3. Pat the chicken breasts dry, then season them lightly with salt and black pepper.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Coat each piece evenly with the creamy ranch sauce.
  5. Distribute the shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese evenly over the chicken and sauce.
Baking
  1. Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and golden and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Serving
  1. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

Use salt sparingly, as the dry ranch dressing mix already contributes sodium.
