Ingredients

Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Salt and pepper, as needed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Optional red pepper flakes

Method

Preparation
  1. Dry the salmon fillets with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Warm 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet with the skin side facing down and cook for 5–6 minutes, until the edges are golden and crisp.
  3. Carefully turn the salmon and cook for another 4–5 minutes, until it flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F / 63°C, then transfer the fillets out of the skillet.
  4. Cook the minced garlic in the same skillet for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the halved cherry tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  6. Mix in the fresh spinach and chopped basil, cooking until the spinach wilts.
  7. Lower the heat slightly, add the heavy cream, and stir in the Parmesan cheese.
  8. Continue cooking the sauce gently until it thickens and becomes creamy.
  9. Place the salmon back into the skillet, coat it with the garlic Parmesan sauce, and simmer for 1 minute before serving.

Notes

For the smoothest sauce texture, add Parmesan gradually and avoid bringing the cream sauce to a boil.
