Preparation
- Blot the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, dried herbs, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl and whisk to create the seasoning mixture.
- Coat both sides of each chicken breast evenly with the garlic lemon herb mixture.
Cooking
- For baking, arrange the chicken breasts in a lightly greased baking dish and bake at 375°F / 190°C for 25–30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C.
- For pan-searing or grilling, cook the chicken breasts for 6–7 minutes per side until browned and cooked through to the same internal temperature.
- Allow the cooked chicken breasts to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Finish the sliced chicken breasts with fresh herbs and serve with lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
For more even cooking, slightly pound thicker chicken breasts before seasoning.
