Preparation
- Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
- Combine almond flour, melted butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to form a soft dough.
- Press the dough into an even layer across the lined baking pan.
Baking
- Bake the crust for 10–12 minutes, until the edges turn lightly golden, then let it cool completely.
Filling
- Stir together peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond flour until the mixture is smooth.
- Spread the peanut butter caramel mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- Freeze the layered bars for at least 1 hour until firm.
Assembly
- Melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil until smooth.
- Remove the chilled bar layer from the pan and slice it into individual bars.
- Coat each chilled bar with the melted chocolate mixture.
- Place the coated bars on parchment paper and add flaky sea salt if desired.
- Freeze the finished bars for 10 minutes until the chocolate coating is set.
Serving
- Serve the bars chilled or let them soften slightly before serving.
Notes
Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze them for up to 3 months.
