Ingredients

Honey Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley or 2 teaspoons fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pinch paprika
Salmon
  • 4 boneless salmon fillets
Garnish
  • 1 lemon, sliced into half-moons

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking tray or dish with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Dry the salmon fillets with paper towels and place them skin-side down on the prepared surface, leaving room between each piece.
  3. Stir together the melted butter, garlic, honey, parsley, salt, black pepper, and paprika in a small bowl until combined.
Baking
  1. Spread the honey garlic butter mixture over the salmon fillets, then place the lemon slices over and around the fish.
  2. Bake the salmon for 8 minutes, then remove it from the oven and coat the fillets again with the sauce from the tray.
  3. Place the salmon back in the oven and bake for another 4 to 7 minutes, until it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Serving
  1. Allow the salmon to rest for 2 minutes, then spoon additional sauce over the fillets before serving.

Notes

For a more caramelized glaze, broil the salmon during the final 1 to 2 minutes of cooking.
