Preparation
- Combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl and whisk until blended.
- Dry the salmon fillets with paper towels, then lightly season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cooking
- Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Arrange the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes until the skin becomes crisp and golden.
- Lower the heat slightly, add the honey garlic sauce to the skillet, and spoon the glaze over the salmon as it cooks.
- Turn the salmon carefully and continue cooking for another 3–4 minutes until the glaze thickens and the salmon reaches 145°F / 63°C internally.
- Take the salmon off the heat once it flakes easily with a fork, then garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
Pat the salmon dry before searing to promote better browning and caramelization.
