Ingredients

Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
Honey Garlic Glaze
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Garnish and Serving
  • Optional chopped parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method

Preparation
  1. Combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl and whisk until blended.
  2. Dry the salmon fillets with paper towels, then lightly season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cooking
  1. Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Arrange the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes until the skin becomes crisp and golden.
  3. Lower the heat slightly, add the honey garlic sauce to the skillet, and spoon the glaze over the salmon as it cooks.
  4. Turn the salmon carefully and continue cooking for another 3–4 minutes until the glaze thickens and the salmon reaches 145°F / 63°C internally.
  5. Take the salmon off the heat once it flakes easily with a fork, then garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Pat the salmon dry before searing to promote better browning and caramelization.
