  • 1 lb (454 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
Bowls
  • 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
Toppings
  • ¼ cup green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl, whisking until the sauce is evenly mixed.
Cooking
  1. Warm olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and lightly curled.
  3. Add the honey garlic sauce to the skillet and let it simmer with the shrimp until the sauce is glossy and slightly thickened.
  4. Steam or sauté the broccoli florets until tender-crisp.
Assembly
  1. Divide the cooked rice or quinoa between serving bowls.
  2. Add the honey garlic shrimp, broccoli, and remaining skillet sauce over the bowls.
  3. Top with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes if using.
