  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz / 227 g cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz / 227 g provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cooking
  1. Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then cook the diced onion and bell peppers until they become tender.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook briefly for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook while breaking it apart until browned; remove any excess grease if needed.
  4. Mix the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and softened cream cheese into the beef mixture until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Baking
  1. Spread the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish, then cover the top with sliced provolone cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  2. Bake the casserole uncovered for 22–25 minutes until heated through, bubbling, and lightly browned on top.

Notes

Use softened cream cheese to help it blend smoothly into the beef mixture.
