Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cooking
- Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then cook the diced onion and bell peppers until they become tender.
- Add the minced garlic and cook briefly for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook while breaking it apart until browned; remove any excess grease if needed.
- Mix the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and softened cream cheese into the beef mixture until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Baking
- Spread the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish, then cover the top with sliced provolone cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake the casserole uncovered for 22–25 minutes until heated through, bubbling, and lightly browned on top.
- Allow the casserole to rest for several minutes before serving.
Notes
Use softened cream cheese to help it blend smoothly into the beef mixture.
