Preparation
- Combine olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, honey, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl, then whisk until the marinade is blended.
- Arrange the salmon fillets in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
- Add the marinade over the salmon and turn the fillets to coat them evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate the salmon for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
Cooking
- Heat a grill, oven, or skillet over medium heat.
- Take the salmon out of the marinade and discard the used marinade.
- Cook the salmon for 5–7 minutes per side until it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F / 63°C.
Serving
- Top the cooked salmon with fresh dill or parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Avoid marinating the salmon for more than 2 hours, as the lemon juice may change the texture of the fish.
