Ingredients

Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each / 170 g each)
Brown Sugar Glaze
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the oven to 400°F / 200°C and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika in a small bowl, whisking until the glaze is smooth.
  3. Arrange the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and dry the surface with paper towels if necessary.
  4. Spread half of the glaze over the salmon fillets evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake the salmon for 8 minutes, then take it out and apply the remaining glaze over the fillets.
  2. Place the salmon back in the oven and continue baking for 8–10 minutes, until it flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F / 63°C.
  3. Allow the salmon to rest for 2 minutes, then finish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Line the baking sheet with parchment paper to help prevent the caramelized glaze from sticking.
