Ingredients

Glaze
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz / 170 g each)
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the oven to 400°F / 200°C and cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Dry the salmon fillets with paper towels, then arrange them on the lined baking sheet.
  3. Combine brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika in a small bowl, mixing until the glaze is smooth.
Baking
  1. Spread half of the glaze over the salmon fillets.
  2. Bake the salmon for 8 minutes.
  3. Take the salmon out of the oven, coat the fillets with the remaining glaze, and return them to bake for another 8–10 minutes until flaky, caramelized, and the internal temperature reaches 145°F / 63°C.
Serving
  1. Rest the salmon for 2 minutes, then sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Line the baking sheet with parchment paper to help prevent the sugary glaze from sticking during baking.
