Ingredients
  

  • 5 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 4 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F / 175°C and prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
  3. Mix the peanut butter into the mashed bananas until evenly blended.
  4. Stir in the rolled oats and chocolate chips until the mixture is well combined.
  5. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing it into the corners and leveling the surface.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12–14 minutes until the edges are lightly browned and the middle is firm.
  2. Allow the banana bars to cool fully before slicing.

Notes

For cleaner slices, briefly chill the cooled bars before cutting.
