Ingredients

Garlic Butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
Brown Sugar Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets
Garnish and Serving
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh dill, for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the oven to 375°F / 190°C and prepare a baking dish or baking sheet with a light coating of grease or parchment paper.
  2. Warm the butter in a small saucepan over low heat, then stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until aromatic.
  3. Mix the brown sugar, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl until evenly blended.
  4. Arrange the salmon fillets in the prepared dish and coat each piece evenly with the garlic butter.
  5. Cover the salmon fillets with the brown sugar seasoning mixture.
Baking
  1. Bake the salmon for 15–20 minutes, adjusting for fillet thickness, until it flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F / 63°C.
  2. If desired, broil the salmon for the final 1–2 minutes to deepen the topping color, keeping a close watch to avoid burning.
  3. Allow the baked salmon to rest briefly before serving with fresh parsley, dill, or lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

Pat the salmon dry before seasoning so the garlic butter and spice mixture can adhere better and caramelize more effectively.
